Why you should keep eating broccoli!



Broccoli is an amazing vegetable that contains good sources of vitamins, minerals, fibres and chlorophyll. 

What broccoli also contains is the phytochemical called Indol-3-Carbinol (I3C). I3C is used for nutritional support of liver detoxification. It helps to maintains optimal 2-hydroxy/16-hydroxy estrogen ratios. It means that it helps to balance between the "good" and the "bad" estrogen to maintain a good female health.

Researches that has been done also shows that this phytochemical have an effect of slow down the growth of cancer tumors, and as many other studies fresh fruit and vegetables helps prevent against both cancer and cardiovascular disease

I3C it's found in the whole Brassica family.

You should allways eat varied diet, and if you have problems with hypothyreos be aware of that high amounts of broccoli(cabbage family) can slow down your thyroid. But, broccoli is too healthy to avoid, so keep eating broccoli, just don't over-eat-it.
