For this post, I'd like to complete a Tokwa't Baboy recipe by sharing with you how to make its sauce.

Read on.

My tasty sauce for tokwa't baboy (tofu and pork) actually came from the hubby. I "spied" on him while he was making one; and so, here I am generously sharing the recipe to you all. So, enjoy!

Ingredients in making tokwa't baboy sauce:
- onions, chopped (preferably red onions)
- garlic, chopped
- long green chili or siling labuyo, chopped

- vinegar
- soy sauce
- sugar

Making tokwa't baboy sauce is insanely easy. All you do is mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

If you want you sauce to be a bit tangy, add more of the vinegar. If you want it a bit on the sweet side, add some more sugar.  Lastly, if you want it a bit salty, you naturally add more soy sauce.

By the way, I'm using apple cider vinegar for this dish. I've learned that distilled white vinegar is very acidic for the body. Jasmine rice vinegar is also a good alternative.

Come serving time, separate the deep-fried tofu, pork and sauce in three dishes. Provide each member of the family his/her bowl so they may mix in the appropriate amount of ingredient they want for their tokwa't baboy.

Neat right?
