One year ago, as we launched the Celebrations cookbook, Julie presented each of us (the ten MGCC ‘girls’) with a special handmade gift. She embroidered ten hot-pads…each with a different scripture. The verses were those from the list illustrated above ‘Ten ways to Love’….practical, Biblical ways to show love.

…Answer Without Arguing. Proverbs 17:1
Now that seems like good advice…and since it was ‘the lot I drew’…I was sure there was a good message in it for me. After all…who am I to argue? I framed it and hung it in my office. I have thought of those words often this past year. Should I say something…or should I bite my tongue? I have decided that in most cases it is better just to listen. To try to understand rather than give my point of view. To respond in a way that is encouraging rather than discouraging.
Answer without arguing. It is a good way to show love! They all are.
